  • Rachel goes above and beyond to pay careful attention to the mental health of our students. She figured out that the locker right outside of her classroom had a broken lock, so she turned it into The Locker of Hope. In that locker, she leaves gum and treats, inspirational quotes, good books, and pamphlets for students who may want to know how to get help with mental health issues. She never shies away from engaging in tough conversations, and in multiple situations has been told by students that she is the reason they reached out for help.

Congratulations to special education teacher Anthony Bombay on being recognized as the January FCPS Cares Recipient of the Month for Region 2 by the Department of Human Resources. Congratulations, Mr. Bombay.

  • On December 8, our son severely broke his ankle at school. Mr. Bombay called me to let me know he had seen our son in the clinic and that he looked pretty bad. Throughout our son's recovery, Mr. Bombay has stayed in regular contact. On Dec. 26, our son had surgery and on December 28, Mr. Anthony Bombay came to our house with two books of interest for our son to read as he recovers. He is a kind, deeply invested teacher! We are thankful to be part of Falls Church High School and for the kind faculty and staff!
