Congratulations to Jan Napoliello on being recognized as the July/August 2019 FCPS Cares Recipient of the Month for Region 2 by the Department of Human Resources. Congratulations, Ms. Napoliello!

Below is the write up submitted by Ms. Heike Harrup, a colleague of Ms. Napoliello.

Griffin Payne is an amazing Technology Support Specialist, and we are so lucky to have him at Lane! He goes above and beyond to help teachers get the resources and supports they need, even if it requires him to get creative or think outside the box. Sometimes Griffin has to break the news to us that something isn’t possible or can’t be done, and yet the very next day he’s figured out a workaround to solve the problem. He frequently stays late at school and is always cheerful, smiling and patient, no matter what we throw at him or how many times we forget to submit something to RequestIT. One example that epitomizes how Griffin goes above and beyond: I’m a resource teacher split between two schools. I was at my other school when a colleague had a last-minute technology problem that she needed to be resolved to be able to participate in an online webinar. It was after 5:00 p.m., and although we emailed the SBTS and TSSpec for the school we were at, we knew they had left for the day and probably wouldn’t check email until the next morning. I emailed Griffin and he responded almost immediately, walking us through the potential solution and telling me that if she still had trouble, my colleague could call him the next day and he would walk her through what she needed to do. All that for a teacher he had never met at a school he wasn’t even assigned! That’s just one of the many ways that Griffin goes over and above his job responsibilities, exemplifying FCPS’s caring culture and premiere workforce.
