A Japanese guest speaker visited the Japanese classes. The guest speaker is a 6th degree in Kyogi Karuta and is the International Representative of the All Japan Karuta Association, which is a traditional competitive card game. It was a valuable experience for Japanese students. Students were able to learn the history behind Japanese poems and the traditional Karuta game. In addition, students were able to play the card game with classmates.
