EY Connect Day
On Friday, October 5, 2018, Mr. Coulter, the marketing teacher, hosted EY Connect Day at Falls Church High School. This is a nationwide community service day for Ernst & Young. The topics covered are resume writing, interviewing skills, career choices, and the World Series of Innovation sponsored by NFTE.
Students enrolled in Mr. Coulter's entrepreneurship classes work with NFTE's World Series of Innovation program. The global online competition invites small teams of young entrepreneurs ages 13 to 24 to think big about solving some of the world’s most challenging issues. The entrepreneurship students competes with other students throughout the world. If placed, the students are eligible to win cash rewards up to $10,000. Each of the five challenges now open align with a specific United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG). Competitors are encouraged to enter their most innovative ideas.
