You may have noticed “Wash Your Hands” info on your laptop when signing in or flyers in the restrooms reminding you to wash your hands.  You wonder why?   During December, members of HOSA (Health Occupations Student Association) are providing Influenza Awareness. There’s a bulletin board outside the cafeteria and outside the Academy office with flu facts.   During December you are asked to participate in Influenza awareness month by wearing BLACK on Tuesday.  This helps to serve as a reminder that we want to spread the word about the flu, not the flu germ. Each morning during December a ‘flu fact’ will be presented during morning announcements.  These public service announcements are presented by the students in Health Informatics and Billing and Coding Classes.   We are happy to spread the word not the germ!
